What to expect:

In this one-day workshop led by artist, designer, and professor Linnea McCarty, we’ll get into what makes a portfolio website actually work for you, your style, and your goals, without getting overwhelmed by the tech stuff. From choosing the right platform for your needs to writing about your work without sounding like a robot, this session covers the whole creative identity package: how to showcase your projects online, promote yourself authentically, write a resume that doesn’t make you cringe, and tap into tools and resources you didn’t know you needed.

Perfect for emerging artists, designers, illustrators, and creative humans looking to take their work to the next level. No tech experience required, just bring your creativity and curiosity.

This is for you if:

  • You have a portfolio website but aren’t happy with it

  • Your portfolio website feels “not you” or not creative

  • You feel lost or overwhelmed on how to prep a portfolio, build a nice website, marketing yourself as an artist, or how to discuss your work

  • You struggle with the technical side of resumes, promoting yourself, and web design

  • You want feedback on your site and how to improve on it

  • You have nothing prepared yet and want to start!

  • This workshop applies to both new and seasoned artists who want help with portfolio websites

Please note, this class has a minimum requirement of 5 attendees to run, with a max of 15 for both dates. Why not grab a friend and take the class together!
