As the year comes to a close, the Fishbowl invites artists and neighbors to create small works on wood panels—each one wrapped, layered, or concealed. All Wrapped Up celebrates the memories we carry, the wins we’ve shared, and the possibilities waiting in the year ahead.
Just like our past communal panel shows, the sky’s the limit—the only rule is that your work must use the provided board. Cut it up and reconstruct it, combine two into one, make it a hanging piece, a tabletop sculpture, or even add a lighting component. As you create, we invite you to reflect on the year:
✨ What were your wins?
✨ What are you celebrating?
✨ What are you looking forward to?
🖼 Key Dates
Earliest panel pick-up:October 3
Last day to pick up panels:November 16
Completed panels due:November 27 (no exceptions)
📦 Details
Thanks to generous grant support, participation is sliding scale from free to $30.00. Free panels are reserved for our queer + trans + bipoc community, $15 standard participation, and $30 for a little extra support for what we do 🫶
Limit 2 panels per artist (total cap of 80 panels).
A wrapping station will be available onsite for your convenience—remember, pieces must be wrapped.
At the start of November, we’ll email participants a shared Excel sheet for title card information along with drop-off instructions.
💝 Giving Back
To unwrap a piece at the show, guests will make a donation to ANERA, Real Rent Duwamish, or La Resistencia. If a work sells, artists may choose to donate their sales to one of these organizations as well—supporting humanitarian relief, Indigenous sovereignty, and immigrant justice.
Join us in honoring what we’ve held close and imagining what comes next—together.
